Meet Our Founder
Shawn McAveney
Founder & Managing Director
Shawn McAveney is the founder of Strativate Advisors, bringing executive and senior operating experience across life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and technology-driven businesses. He works with leadership teams on high-stakes decisions involving strategy, transactions, operating models, and AI-enabled platforms in highly regulated environments.

Prior to founding Strativate Advisors, Shawn held executive business and senior legal roles within a global pharmaceutical company where he partnered directly with other executive leaders on strategic transactions, technology investments, and transformation initiatives spanning research, clinical development, manufacturing, and commercialization, as well as for AI, digital and data innovation portfolios. His responsibilities extended beyond legal execution to shaping deal strategy, governance, risk allocation, and long-term value realization across a multi-billion-dollar spend.

Shawn’s work has consistently focused on the decisions that determine whether complex initiatives succeed after contracts are signed, including platform selection, integration risk, regulatory defensibility, and alignment between commercial terms and real-world execution. He is known for bridging business, technical, and regulatory perspectives in a way that supports durable outcomes.

Shawn holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from Villanova University, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, and has completed advanced executive education from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
